Astra: This stylish Wynwood eatery serves Greek dishes on a rooftop that overlooks the city.

Phuc Yea: The industrial setting and Vietnamese and Cajun fusion menu make for an unforgettable meal in the Design District. 

Mandolin Aegean Bistro: Transport yourself to Greece with this family-owned restaurant in the Design District. The intimate restaurant is housed in a renovated 1940s home with tables set up in the backyard for outdoor dining.

Red Rooster: Stop by for delicious soul food like shrimp and grits and fried yardbird in Overtown, Miami’s oldest Black neighborhood. 

Caja Caliente: Stationed in Coral Gables, Caja Caliente is a kitschy diner with inventive menu items like Cuban tacos and gator burritos. 

Amara at Paraiso: Offering gorgeous views of the Biscayne Bay, Amara at Paraiso has on-deck seating and lots of seafood options like oysters and Florida stone crab on the menu. 

Zuma Miami: Craving sushi? Zuma Miami has an excellent selection of fresh sushi rolls in a modern, sophisticated setting. 

Ariete: With a seasonal menu with totally locally-sourced ingredients, Ariete in Coconut Grove also has a lush outdoor patio ideal for brunches.  

River Oyster Bar: Seafood lovers will enjoy this downtown restaurant that uses fresh, local ingredients like grass-fed Florida beef, shrimp from Cape Canaveral, and stone crabs from the Florida Keys.

KYU: Located just outside of the Wynwood Walls, KYU has a modern-Asian menu with short ribs, duck, and grilled octopus. 

The Best Bars in Miami for Digital Nomads

Jaguar Sun: This sleek downtown cocktail and tapas bar has delicious oysters and scallops on the menu. If you’re up for it, try the Jailbreak cocktail made with bourbon, Japanese whiskey, and Haitian rum.  

Margot Natural Wine Bar: Another great downtown bar, Margot offers over 100 natural wine labels to choose from. Make sure to ask one of the knowledgeable servers for a recommendation.

Terra: Located on the rooftop of the Life House Hotel in Little Havana, Terra is a cozy bar with cocktails and bites with ingredients grown right on the rooftop garden. 

Lost Boy: This is a bar where you can easily become a regular. This downtown hangout is a cross between an English Pub and an old tavern with lots of beer, wine, and classic cocktails. 

Grails Sports Bar: Want to drink from a sneaker-shaped shot glass? Here’s your chance at Wynwood’s Grails Sports Bar, which has an indoor bar and an outdoor Miami Vice-themed patio.  

The Sylvester: The swanky details like the velvet armchairs, and chandeliers along with the pool table, and pinball machine make this Midtown bar unique. Be sure to ask for the drink of the day specials. 

Ball & Chain: This Little Havana venue recently underwent a complete overhaul and the former 1930s hotspot has live music, salsa dancing lessons, and tasty cocktails. 

Mama Tried: With the 1970s decor that includes plush red carpets and disco balls, the downtown hangout is great for after-work drinks and late-night dancing.

Tipsy Flamingo: You can’t get any more Miami than downtown’s Tipsy Flamingo. There are neon signs, pink flamingos, and palm tree wallpaper along with some playfully-named drinks like the Tipsy Colada. 

Black Market Miami: This downtown sports bar is decked out in Miami sports memorabilia with comfort food and cold beers on the menu. There are game-day specials and a DJ during timeout and commercials. 

The Best Digital Nomad Cafes in Miami

Vice Bean City: This cool, minimalist coffee shop has a Wynwood outpost that has indoor/outdoor dining and serves coffee, tea, and small bites.  

Tinta y Cafe: The comfortable couches and mismatched bookshelves make this Cuban cafe in Coral Gables feel like hanging out in a friend’s living room. The menu includes salads, sandwiches, and breakfast items. 

Cafe Grumpy: With several locations in New York, Cafe Grumpy’s Coral Gables location serves coffees from around the world grown by specialty producers. The cozy cafe is bright, airy, and has a few tables for working. 

Panther Coffee: There are six different locations of Panther Coffee, and we recommend the Wynwood shop that has indoor seating, plus a large patio under the shade of a giant tree. 

OTL: The spacious and brightly-hued cafe in Miami’s Design District has mostly breakfast and lunch items with plenty of vegan and gluten-free options.
